Goshen city leaders adopt new policy for the use of drones

Goshen city leaders have adopted a new policy for the use of drones as the Goshen Police and Fire departments to support grant funding to buy the devices.

Police Chief Jose Miller saying drones would be useful in situations like searching for a missing child.

The Elkhart Truth reports the policy also requires the appointment of a program coordinator, who would be responsible for ensuring that the department’s use of drones follows current laws and best practices as laid out by the F-A-A.
