Indiana Michigan Power has given more than $100,000 to three economic development groups serving St. Joseph, Elkhart Counties and Berrien Counties to further prepare current sites for future business growth.

I&M gave $50,000 to the South Bend Regional Chamber of Commerce to help with the Indiana Enterprise Center Site 2. The money will be used in the design of building concepts, drawings, site plans, and engineering plans for the site. Grant money will also assist in the due diligence, a portion of acquisition price, site readiness, clearing and grading of the property.

I&M gave $25,000 to the E-D-C of Elkhart County for the West Baugo Parkway development site. The money will help remedy water access and pressure issues, as well as help with ground-cover and brush site clean-up for aesthetic improvements.

And they gave nearly $30-thosuand dollars to Cornerstone Alliance in Berrien County for two projects. One of them is the Cornerstone Industrial Park spec building site to assist in clearing part of the property. Money for the Lemon Creek site will help prepare conceptual plans to market to a larger audience.

Grants were also given to six organizations in Adams, Noble, Allen and Delaware Counties in Indiana totaling up to $215,000.
