A man was jailed after police say he led them on a pursuit.

It was early Sunday night, Jan. 16, when police tried to stop a vehicle for a moving violation near the intersection of Elkhart and Bashor Roads. But, investigators say the driver took off, leading officers on a chase before colliding with vehicles that had stopped in traffic due to the flashing lights and sirens.

Dusten Prince, 35, was taken into custody near Main and Pike Streets.

He was taken to the Elkhart County Jail on preliminary charges of resisting law enforcement in a motor vehicle, possession of paraphernalia, and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.
