Entrance fee coming for Indiana Dunes National Park

The Indiana Dunes National Park will have an entrance fee beginning March 31.

This fee only affects the national park and does not change the fee collected by the state for the Indiana Dunes State Park.

Fees vary depending on the method used to enter the national park. People who have land passes will not pay an entrance fee.

The money will help fund the Marquette Greenway Bike Trail, visitor services, parking and transportation improvements.

For more information about the new entrance fees or passes, check out the park’s web page.

Who didn’t see this coming? As soon as they nationalized that park, the writing was on the wall.
