Man tries to evade police by escaping through window

A man was arrested after he attempt to evade Elkhart Police by climbing out a fifth story window.

Officers received the report of a disturbance in the 500 block of West Indiana Avenue and, when they arrived, they placed 34-year-old Jimmie Morrow in handcuffs and told him to sit on the floor of the hallway while they continued to investigate.

ABC 57 News reports Morrow got up, ran into an apartment, and locked the door. When police got into the apartment, they found Morrow hanging out of a window.

Morrow was taken into custody on a preliminary charge of escape and on previous outstanding warrants.
