Indiana Farm Bureau Health Plans now covering close to 5,000 Hoosiers

The Indiana Farm Bureau Health Plans are covering nearly 5000 Hoosiers roughly a year after the coverage began.

Plans Manager Patrick Williams says about a third of those applying for the coverage are brand new members. WVPE reports that the organization has also found high interest in counties that neighbor major cities in other states such as Chicago, Louisville and Cincinnati.

Where most health insurance plans limit people to specific geographic areas, Williams notes that their plans cover 95% of doctors and hospitals in the country. He also says roughly 85% of those who apply are accepted.
