Push to override veto from Governor Holcomb last year comes up short over the weekend

A push to override a veto from Governor Holcomb last year came up short in the legislature over the weekend.

This veto regarded labels on gas pumps in Indiana — warning of the possible harm the E-85 Ethanol can do to older engines.

A bill passed by lawmakers in last year’s session would have required those labels on every gas pump in Indiana, but Holcomb vetoed saying the labels were “unnecessary and confusing.”

The State Senate attempted an override vote — but senators sustained the veto by a vote of 26-24.
