A fire broke out at the South Bend Ethanol plant on Calvert Street

It took around an hour to douse a fire at the South Bend Ethanol plant on Calvert Street.

Crews were called, around 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 16, after a corn dryer caught fire, igniting the blaze.

There was no word of any injuries.
