Several local school districts get share of millions in STEM funding

Five local school districts will receive a share of more than $2.5 million dollars in STEM funding that’s being distributed to schools in Indiana.

Mishawaka, South Bend and LaPorte schools will receive around $75,000.

Concord Schools will get nearly $55,000.

Plymouth Schools will get around $50,000.

The STEM Acceleration Grant helps schools increase students’ access to STEM courses, programs and resources.

This year, more than 70% of school districts awarded a grant have one or more schools that are currently working to become STEM Certified Schools.
