Gov. Whitmer announces extra food benefits for eligible residents

Michiganders will receive additional food assistance benefits this month.

Monday, Governor Whitmer announced that state residents eligible for food assistance benefits will get extra finds in March. These increased funds are designed to help lower the cost of groceries and ensure that Michiganders can make their dollar stretch further.

Families and individuals will receive an additional payment of at least $95 to help with groceries.

The funds should appear on their Bridge Cards between March 19 and March 28. This includes residents who are already receiving the maximum benefits.
