Plans are underway for a new gas station just a few blocks away from South Bend’s Four Winds Casino.
It would be built on the corner of Prairie Avenue and Olive Street.
WNDU reports that discussion of the proposed station were tabled on Monday but the plan is expected to be advanced for approval at a meeting of the Planning Commission on April 18. The public will be able to comment at that meeting.

Oh wow! A new gas station.
There’s already a gas station on that intersection, and a newer one across from the casino. How about gas price wars then!
How about a real grocery store in that food desert?
So the proposed owners of the station need government approval to to open a business on land that they will own.
I’m s glad we live in a free country…
Literally already a station on that corner, that’s very nice and very busy!
Hiring representatives from Aaron’s Furniture, CVS Pharmacy, 5 Guys, Giant Meals, Marriott Marquis Washington, DC,
Robert Half and Walmart had been present.
