A South Bend man was sentenced in United States District Court after pleading guilty to armed drug trafficking and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Joseph Blair, Jr., 30, was sentenced to 106 months in prison followed by 3 years of supervised release.

According to documents, in December of 2020, law enforcement searched Blair’s home and recovered over 150 grams of methamphetamine and a loaded handgun.

A search of his car resulted in the recovery of over 200 grams of methamphetamine, two rifles, and a magazine for a high capacity rifle.

This case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration with the assistance of the South Bend Police Department.

Give up Thor. They’re happily ignorant and have no desire to educate themselves.

I thought the same thing as Thor. They don’t even comprehend what they’re reporting on. Even if the guy was a convicted felon, being in possession of a firearm magazine is in no way illegal. They just want to sensationalize. Jon Zimney, can you tell us what a “high capacity rifle” is? No such thing. You sound ignorant and it makes those reading your script sound ignorant as well.
