MI State Police bring back Purses With A Purpose program

The Michigan State Police are bringing back their “Purses With A Purpose” program for a second year. It began with a Trooper who wanted to help women who have to leave horrible situations in a hurry, unable to grab personal necessities.

Purses are filled with essential items for survivors seeking help. The program, which began in Cadillac, is now expanding to even more State Police Posts statewide, and continues to grow.

To find a donation event near you, visit the Community Calendar on MSP’s website. Collection locations will be added throughout March and April as they are scheduled.
