Police chase in Steuben County

(Tom Franklin/95.3 MNC)

There was a police chase in Steuben County Tuesday night, and now State Police are now involved.

Steuben County Police were chasing after a suspect in their car around 7 o’clock. When they reached Pleasant Lake, the suspect, later ID’d as Jeremy Tuttle, left the car behind and tried to run away.

At some point during the foot chase, a sheriff’s deputy fired a shot, although no one was hit. Tuttle was eventually cornered in a garage on Easy Street, where police were able to arrest him.

Tuttle faces several resisting law enforcement charges, and State police are going to investigate why the deputy fired their gun.
