The City of Buchanan is flushing water hydrants this week.

It’s part of the city’s regular maintenance process and will wrap up this Thursday.

In the meantime, residents are being asked to avoid doing laundry or using heavy amounts of hot water.

If residents experience any dark or cloudy water, they’re being asked to run cold water through their bathtub faucets and outdoor spigots, and flush their toilets until the water runs clear.
