Death of woman found in area of Chippewa, Keria Trail investigated as homicide

A woman found with multiple wounds in the area of Chippewa and Keria Trail has died and police are investigating the case as a suspected homicide.

St. Joseph County Police officers received a call from a passerby around 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 9, who said the female was bleeding from her mouth & nose and appeared to be having a seizure.

Medics also responded to the scene rushed her to the hospital emergency room. Once there, medics determined she had sustained multiple non-self-inflicted wounds.

She died at the hospital a short time later.
