Emmons Elementary School in Mishawaka has won a makeover from an annual contest held by the Indiana State Teachers Association.

This meant a new mural inside the gym, a sitting area for 5th and 6th graders, and benches and flower pots in front of the school.

Assistant Principal Deb Lewinski told WNDU she was excited to see the looks on their student’s faces Monday when they saw all the changes.

What a nice edifice for self aggrandizement. How about using the money for something that teaches reading, writing and arithmetic…you know something important for the students performance on their college entrance exams and future jobs.

But hey, you snagged a mural and some plants…way to go. I wonder what the social justice warrior topic of this mural will be. Tax payer money going to nothing of value.
