South Bend man arrested after allegedly driving vehicle into St. Joseph River

A South Bend man has been arrested after allegedly driving a vehicle into the St. Joseph River after a police chase.
It happened Saturday evening shortly after 8 p.m., when the officer patrolling says that he saw a truck speeding down the road.
The officer claims that once he turned on his lights and sirens, the truck ran a stop sign at the intersection of West Marion Street and South 2nd Street.
According to ABC 57 News, The driver, 35 year old Andrew Siciliano, drove through the dead, into the St. Joseph river, and swam to the river bank.
The car was confirmed to have been stolen by investigator. Siciliano has been arrested for theft of a motor vehicle, reckless driving, and resisting law enforcement.
