Two years ago, fans of Taco Bell’s Mexican Pizza complained pretty loudly about the item’s disappearance.

In fact, more than 171,000 customers complained by signing a petition at Change.org.

Taco Bell says the backlash was part of what led them to make the decision to bring the Mexican Pizza back, starting in May.

The company says they’ve found a way to make the item part of the permanent menu going forward, while still minimizing the carbon footprint involved in doing so.
