Man shot, killed on Northside Blvd. in South Bend identified

The South Bend Police Violent Crimes Unit is investigating after a person was shot and killed.

Officers were called 8:30 p.m. on Monday, April 18, to the 2800 block of Northside Boulevard on the report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers found a man, identified as Civon Green, 28, of Mishawaka, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

Green was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Violent Crimes Unit has interviewed several individuals.

Though the shooting occurred in close proximity to Nuner Fine Arts Academy, investigators say the school is not associated with the incident.
