Police in Niles have released a video of a violent purse snatching from an 80 year-old woman.
It happened on April 14 around 2 p.m. when the victim was walking out of the Methodist Church parking lot on Cedar Street.
She was knocked to the ground and injured when a man on a bicycle grabbed her purse as he was riding by. He then got off his bike and managed to pull the purse from her arm before fleeing the scene on Cedar, later abandoning the bicycle. Niles Police Detectives are asking for the public’s help identifying the suspect.
