Michigan City man, 33, sentenced after pleading guilty to weapons-related charges

A Michigan City man has been sentenced after pleading guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Colton Crawford, 33, was ordered to serve 84 months in prison followed by 2 years of supervised release.

According to court documents, it was back in August 2020 when Crawford was stopped by police.

During the stop, police discovered a handgun, magazines, and a holster.

Crawford had a June 2015 felony conviction in LaPorte County Superior Court which prohibits him from possessing any firearm or ammo.
