Two male victims in critical condition after two separate shootings in South Bend

Two people are in critical condition after two shootings early Tuesday morning, April 26, in South Bend.

One of the shootings happened around 6 a.m. in the 2100 block of Warren. A male victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Second was reported about half-an-hour later in the 1600 block of S. Jackson. A male victim was reported to be suffering critical injuries, as well.

There was no immediate word of any suspects, arrests or details about what led to the gunfire in either instance.

The South Bend Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit is leading the investigations. Anybody with information is asked to contact South bend Police at (574) 235-9263 or Michiana Crime Stoppers at 574-288-STOP or 800-342-STOP.

It’s a good thing Mayor Mueller is giving a speech on how crime in South Bend is declining, or else I’d never have known because of all the people getting shot…
