Meteorology student from Evansville killed in crash after storm chasing Kansas tornado

One of the meteorology students killed after last week’s tornado in Kansas is from Evansville.

Drake Brooks of Evansville was one of three college students killed while chasing a tornado on Friday.

Investigators say the three lost control of their truck along I-35 and were hit by a semi truck.

The other two students were from Denton, Texas and Grayslake, Illinois. The accident remains under investigation.
