Hoosier law firm offering free legal services to refugees from Ukraine

A Hoosier law firm is offering up free legal services to refugees from Ukraine.

Russia invaded Ukraine several weeks ago forcing millions of people to seek refuge in other countries — including the U.S. Barnes & Thornburg says they are teaming up with the city of South Bend to offer pro bono legal services any refugees may need while they are in the U.S.

Around a dozen people have already reached out to Barnes & Thornburg in hopes of relocating to the South Bend area.

Ukrainian refugees in the country has “temporary protected status” until October 2023.
