Fugitives Casey White and Vicky White were captured Monday evening in Evansville. They were wanted after Casey White escaped from the Lauderdale County Jail in Alabama, authorities say with the help of guard Vicky White.

The two were caught after being pursued by police and wrecking.

Sheriff Rick Singleton, of Lauderdale County, said Vicky White was injured. He was not sure whether she was hurt in the wreck. She is being charged with facilitating an escape, which could land her in prison.

A truck that was reported stolen in the same area of Tennessee where Alabama escapee Casey White and the guard suspected of helping him escape were last known to be, was found in Evansville Sunday, said U.S. Marshals.

Singleton said in a news conference that his department had gotten a tip the two were in Indiana.

The Marshals confirmed to media that they were investigating the possibility of White and guard Vicky White being in the area Monday, and provided pictures of the stolen 2006 Ford F-150, which was found in Evansville, which is about 175 miles from where the getaway car was found.

The pictures released by marshals Monday afternoon showed a man that may be Casey White, 38, on security camera. If it is White, his appearance has changed significantly since the photo was taken that is being widely circulated.

The truck was found in a car wash bay on South Weinbach Ave. in Evansville.

The SUV in which they were last known to be riding was found in the Bethesda, Tenn. area. It had been sitting there since the day of White’s escape. But, police only discovered it was the SUV they were looking for Thursday.

Singleton said the two would be brought from Indiana to Alabama, he believed by U.S. Marshals, should the two waive extradition.

He said he would keep White in cuffs and shackles in the jail, promising he would never escape again, regardless of whether he would sue for violation of his rights.
