A South Bend man has been ordered to serve 144 months in prison after pleading guilty to conspiracy to distribute meth and cocaine.
Javier Gil, 37, conspired to distribute methamphetamine and cocaine during multiple trips to California where, according to court documents, he and others obtained drugs for distribution.
During the final trip in December of 2017, Gil and two other individuals loaded 11 kilograms of meth and cocaine into a vehicle and headed back to the Midwest.
The drugs were discovered when the vehicle was stopped by police.
Last month, Gil’s co-defendant, Saul Leal, was sentenced to 108 months in prison.
