One person was killed and six others were injured in a shooting in Benton Harbor.

Officers with the Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety were called around 2 a.m. on Monday, May 30, Ajay’s Lounge and A & D Liquor Store in the 900 block of Pipestone Street.

Police arrived to find shell casings of several calibers.

Witnesses say a fight broke out during a ticketed event when a Detroit-based rapper was to appear.

The man who died was identified as Marlon Bowman, 19. He suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the chest.

The other victims were treated at the hospital.

A $2,000 reward has been offered by the Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety for information that leads to the arrest of the suspected shooters.
