South Bend Police, recovered stolen vehicles over Memorial Day weekend

It was a busy Memorial Day weekend for South Bend Police officers.
They say as you were taking time off, their officers took significant strides to make the city a safer place to live.
From Friday evening to early Tuesday, they say officers recovered a total of 11 stolen vehicles and 9 illegally possessed firearms.
The department credits officers’ diligence and proactive policing, which helped return the vehicles to their rightful owners and removed firearms from the wrong hands.
