Three Michigan City men arrested in connection to shooting

Three Michigan City men have been arrested in a connection to the shooting, Monday, at Washington Park Beach, that left one person with critical injuries.

18-year-old Julius Bowen was arrested after police spotted a car matching the suspect vehicle description. Bowen took off on foot with two guns, but was quickly arrested.

The vehicle’s driver, 20-year-old Donald Deal, was also apprehended at that time.

Late Monday night, 20-year-old DeMarco Nichols turned himself into police.

There’s been no update on the victim’s condition, nor any information about the motive behind the shooting.
