Traffic stop in Benton Harbor led to search warrants and arrests

A traffic stop in Benton Harbor led to two search warrants and three arrests on drug-related charges.
The Berrien County Sheriff’s Office says a 36-year-old woman was taken into custody during the traffic stop.
One of the warrants was served in the 300 block of Margarete Avenue in Benton Township, where detectives discovered evidence of drug trafficking, as well as marijuana, methamphetamine, crack-cocaine and suspected fentanyl.
A Benton Township resident was arrested for a  parole violation, and could face more than a dozen drug-related charges.
The second search warrant was served in the 300 block of Felton Street, where detectives say they found packaged meth, suspected fentanyl, more than 100 Xanax pills and cocaine.
A third suspect was taken into custody as a result of that warrant.
