Tick season is upon us and is expected to hit an “uptick” in the weeks to come.

Tick season has been lower than normal, because of low temperatures in the spring.

Now, the Indiana DNR says that ticks are expected to be much worse, because of the sudden rise in temperature.

ABC 57 News reports that knowing where to expect ticks will help to prevent them.

The DNR says ticks are usually in grassy or wooded areas.

They also say that reducing skin exposed and using repellent is essential for preventing ticks.
