95.3 MNC transmitter back on-air after storm-related damage

UPDATE: As of 1:15 p.m. 95.3 MNC is back on the FM dial, though our HD-1 signal is still being worked on.

ORIGINAL STORY: If you are not able to hear 95.3 MNC on your FM radio right now, you are not alone.

The strong storm that blew through portions of Michiana, late Monday night, June 6, caused some damage to the 95.3 MNC transmitter.

The damage is electrical in nature and our transmitter engineer is currently working with AEP to determine the extent of the damage and begin repairs.

At this time, we do not know how long we will be off-air at 95.3 FM, however, we are still distributing our news and talk programming as we normally do.

You can listen via our webstream at https://player.listenlive.co/69041.  You can also listen to our programming by downloading the free 95.3 MNC app for iPhone and Android. Our programming is also available on Alexa or Google Home smart speakers when you say “Alexa, play 95-3 MNC.”

We will keep you updated regarding the FM signal once we learn more information regarding a timeline for repairs. Rest assured, we will make the repairs as quickly as we can.
