Buttigieg tests positive for COVID-19

Transportation secretary Pete Buttigieg has tested positive for COVID-19.
The former mayor of South Bend says on Twitter that he’s experiencing mild symptoms and plans to work remotely while isolating according to CDC guidelines.
Buttigieg is fully vaccinated.

So testing positive allows him to stay home in dereliction of his duties for a couple of more weeks. On the other hand, by staying home the Republic is safer for a while longer.
