The South Bend Citizens’ Police Academy is returning this fall.
The experience will give citizens a first-hand look at what it’s like to be a South Bend police officer and will include interactive demonstrations from some of our department’s specialty units, including patrol beats, evidence, homicide, the K-9 unit and more.
The 2022 Academy will meet for 9 weeks, Tuesday evenings, starting on Aug. 9. Space is limited.
You can submit an application now. They’re due by July 18 and the program is free.
