Senator Todd Young on proposed gas tax holiday

(Official U.S. Senate photo by Rebecca Hammel)
Senator Todd Young calls the President’s proposed gas tax holiday like “Applying a Band-Aid to Gaping Wound”.
Young says the gas tax break would have a very short-term impact without actually increasing the energy supply.
He says consumers will respond by purchasing more gasoline, which will cause prices to rise, and ultimately there will be little benefit to families struggling with high fuel costs.
He says the real solution is to increase oil supply right now and encourage domestic energy production for the future.

RINO Todd Young just voted to advance the Democrats’ gun control bill. The treasonous snake cannot be trusted.

That said, he actually manages to be partially correct in this case. What he is missing is that the Dems WANT the road fund to be insolvent, so they can impose new draconian per-mile taxation on cars. They don’t care about you, they just want their endgame…
