The Goshen Health Education Department is currently enrolling students for emergency medical technician (EMT) classes.

Classes begin on Aug. 1 and end on Dec. 17. The course is offered through a hybrid format and provides students with basic skills for EMT certification as well as instruction on emergency medical services.

Students must be vaccinated for COVID-19 or must apply for an exemption prior to beginning the course.

The Goshen Health EMT education program is approved by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians and meets guidelines specific to the state. According to The Elkhart Truth, more than 95 percent of students graduate from the Goshen Health EMT education program which allows them to take the National Registry exam.

Students must be at least 18 years or older to enroll and must have a high school diploma or GED.
