A South Bend man received a 12-year prison sentence after pleading guilty to robbery and brandishing a firearm.
According to court documents, it was back in June of 2021 when Arsenio Harrison, 30, robbed a cell phone store in South Bend and attempted to rob a convenience store in Mishawaka.
During the South Bend robbery, the store clerk was restrained with zip ties, and Harrison stole cell phones and cash. During the Mishawaka attempted robbery, one of the clerks sustained serious injuries.
Harrison brandished a firearm at the clerks during each of the heists.
The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation with the assistance of the South Bend Police Department and the Mishawaka Police Department.  The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Joel Gabrielse.
