Prepare for a hot and humid day

Prepare for a hot and humid day. Temperatures will climb into the lower 90s, but heat indices could creep near the 100 degree mark. A heat advisory is in place from 1 p.m. until 10 p.m.

If you need to be outdoors today, take plenty of breaks to cool down in the air conditioning or shade and stay hydrated.

Mostly cloudy skies this morning will have a few more breaks from clouds by afternoon.

A second round of storms is possible late this evening into early Wednesday morning. Once again, these storms have the potential to be strong, possibly severe.

Looking ahead to Wednesday, the day stays mostly dry, but a third round of storms is possible late. There is a low severe risk for Wednesday evening, although the primary threat looks to stay just south of Michiana for now.

More storms are possible Thursday, with showers lingering into Friday.

Luckily by the time we reach the weekend, we will be dry and slightly cooler into the lower 80s Saturday and Sunday.

Today: AM storms. Hot, humid. High 90.

Tonight: PM storms. Low 70.

Wednesday: Mostly cloudy. PM storms. High 87.

Thursday: Storms early. High 85.
