A Shipshewana man was stopped from passing security at South Bend Airport, because he had two loaded handguns.

It happened Tuesday, July 5, just after 6 a.m., when South Bend TSA say that they saw two handguns in the man’s carry on luggage.

They say that the man did have a concealed carry permit.

ABC 57 News reports that St. Joseph County Airport Public Safety took the bag.

The TSA reminds customers that bringing a gun through security is illegal, delays lines, and will result in a fine.

The two guns were the 8th and 9th to be seized this year.
