Distracted driving resulted in a Bristol woman getting hurt in a crash.

The collision happened just after 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 12, on State Road 13, south of County Road 36, when police say the woman was dialing a cell phone and became distracted.

They say a 21-year-old Elkhart man was slowing to make a turn when the driver with the cell phone crashed into the back of a trailer attached to his truck.

The cell phone driver was taken by ambulance to Goshen Hospital for treatment of wrist and stomach pain. She was also cited for using a cellphone without the use of a hands-free device.
