One person was shot and killed in South Bend.

The shooting happened around 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday, July 13, in the 1900 block of South Michigan Street, according to the South Bend Police Department.

The man who died has been identified as Jon Senour, 55, of South Bend.

According to police, two car crashes happened as the suspect left the scene.

The re was no immediate word about an possible suspects, arrests or details about what led to the gunfire.
