Producing child pornography using a 16-year-old girl and a four-year-old girl, is why a man from Portage will spend 20 years in federal prison.
Romio Xavier Hawkins, 24, got his sentence from a federal judge in Hammond.
Court documents say Hawkins instructed the two girls to “engage in sexually explicit conduct” on camera several times in January and February 2021.
From that Hawkins made both pictures and videos.
He also admitted to authorities he had over 1,000 images and 300 videos of child pronography on his devices.
Some of those depicted toddlers.
Court documents say Hawkins pleaded guilty.
In addition to the 20 years, he’ll be on supervision for five years after he gets out.
