The attempted heist happened around 8:45 p.m. on Saturday, July 16, at the store in the 9100 block of M-139, near George Street, in Oronoko Township.

Witnesses told police a male, described as black, wearing black clothing and a black face mask displayed a pistol to the clerk and demanded money.

The pistol was tucked in the suspect’s waist band. As the clerk was starting to place money into a bag, the suspect left the store without taking any money or property.

I’ve known people who are too lazy to get a job. Being too lazy to finish an armed robbery is another thing altogether.
