Three killed, two injured, gunman dead after shooting at Greenwood shopping mall

Three people were gunned down and two others were injured in a mass shooting at a shopping mall in Greenwood, Indiana.

The shooting happened around 6 p.m. on Sunday, July 17, when investigators say an adult male entered the mall’s food court with a long gun and several magazines of ammunition, and started shooting.

Police say a good Samaritan, who was armed, shot the attacker – killing him.

“The real hero of the day is the citizen that was lawfully carrying a firearm in that food court and was able to stop the shooter almost as soon as he began,” said Greenwood Police Chief Jim Ison.

There was no immediate word about a motive behind the shooting.

🔴 It took a good guy with a firearm to take down this very dangerous criminal with a weapon to do harm. Thank goodness we live in a state where law abiding citizens can exercise our second amendment rights for protection.

It will be interesting in the next few days how the far left mainstream media will spin this latest shooting. This evil man made some very wrong choices and the only positive thing, he won’t harm anyone again. Thank you to the person who was prepared to defend himself and others, who took down this P.O.S. criminal.

Good thing the good guy with a gun didn’t follow Simon Properties rules (https://www.simon.com/legal/code-of-conduct) or the death toll would be much, much higher. Gun free zones are where these cowards target because they assume they won’t get any resistance for several minutes.

The number 3 no-no on the Simon list is “No weapons”. I guess the bad guy shooter didn’t know guns weren’t allowed in the mall.

Good job taking him out Bartholomew County guy.

Now is the time to apply pressure on Simon and our state legislature to ban “gun free zones” in public spaces.

I think being able to file suit by the families of the deceased against Simon properties would be a great start. After all, Simon removed their right to defend themselves and then (obviously) didn’t provide equivalent security. Let the lawfare commence!
