A man convicted for a 2015 murder attempted to appeal his ruling, with no luck.

The murder case was unsolved, until 32-year-old Charles Bussard called authorities in 2020, saying he had information.

He was taken to trial.

The Elkhart County Circuit Court sentenced Charles Bussard to 63 years in prison, for murdering his uncle, 45-year-old Byron Bussard in 2015.

The Elkhart Truth reports that Charles recently appealed his conviction and his sentencing.

Charles says that his confession to police should not have been used in court, since no crime was proven to have been committed.

The Indiana Court of Appeals says that they are upholding both.
