Man sentenced after home invasion in Elkhart

A man has been sentenced after a home invasion in Elkhart.

48-year-old Angel Ubiles is sentenced to 34 years in prison, after his conviction of burglary resulting in injury as well as being a habitual offender.

Officials say Ubiles broken into the home of a woman and her 3-year-old granddaughter on August 28th at around 2:30 a.m.

The victim says Ubiles pushed his way in and pinned her to the ground, saying that he wanted food.

The Elkhart Truth reports that the victim broke free from the man, ran to her gun, and aimed it at the man.
