South Bend man charged with reckless homicide after deadly crash

A South Bend man has been charged with reckless homicide and reckless driving after a deadly crash at Taylor Street and Ewing Avenue.

The St. Joseph County Prosecutor says 25-year-old Seth Jason Beck, 25, was behind the wheel when his vehicle struck another, on Tuesday, July 26, killing Janeth Gomez, 58, and injuring several others.

Becker is currently being held at the St. Joseph County Jail.

His arraignment is scheduled for Friday afternoon.
