Officials responded to an alleged bomb threat Friday afternoon at Goshen College.

The Goshen Police Department and Goshen College Campus Safety sent an alert to their campus staff at 12:45 p.m.

The police report states that the officers received a call on their non-emergency number from someone who claimed to have left a backpack at a particular part of the campus. Campus safety believed the call was fake because the area the caller referenced doesn’t exist.

Police searched the campus and found nothing, giving the all-clear shortly before 1:30 Friday afternoon.
