Applications are open for the Elkhart County Criminal Justice Citizen’s Academy

Applications are open for the Elkhart County Criminal Justice Citizen’s Academy.

It’s open to the public and gives an inside look at what it’s like to work at the Elkhart county Courthouse and the Prosecuting Attorney.

The academy will discuss courtroom procedures, drug crimes, victim assistance, and more.

Those interested can apply online on the Elkhart County prosecutor’s website.

Classes will meet one night a week for eight weeks with actual dates to be determined. Meetings will run from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.​

Applications are due by September 9.
